About us

Prairie Rose opened in October 2002. Sisters and co-owners Paula Ray and Sara Harless dedicated the business to their parents, Herbert and Leona Lindquist, who met and fell in love over a sewing machine. (Herb's business was installing electric motors on old treadle sewing machines.)

Both sisters have been life-long sewing enthusiasts, surrounded by quilts and quilting from childhood. Their older sister is a nurse who keeps busy in her spare time with a small menagerie of critters – farm and domestic.
